We are an electronic design and repair store dedicated to providing solutions for the vintage electronics industry. Whether it's restoring Gameboys, creating Pinball mods, or designing Arcade replacement boards, we do it all. Our goal is to keep nostalgia out of the landfills and to keep it in the hands of the gamers, enthusiast, hobbyist, and operators.

Many years ago, after summer school, I found a Gameboy in a local trash dump. Not many people call Gameboys cute or personified them as things that needed to be saved, but I did. Seeing the Nintendo logo full of mysterious mud and forbidden juices struck a chord with me. How could something that once created happiness, joy, memories, and entertainment end up embedded in a 10-day old half-eaten watermelon? I had to save him... I mean IT. I brought the little guy home with me and into my parent's garage where I began, with little electronics knowledge and against my parents' wishes, the restoration process. I felt like I brought home a dog, but instead of fleas and diseases, it probably just had diseases. Long story short and contradictory to many success stories, I destroyed the game boy in my attempts at repairing it. As disappointed as I was, I had a blast (literally) trying to resuscitate the little guy with the wrong voltage. And in that moment, it hit me, and yes, the odor did too. Trying to fix the moldy and corroded game boy was just as fun as playing Dragon Warrior II when I was younger. Ten years and many game boys later, I'm proud to be able to call myself the owner of Next Gen Retro Tech (NXR-Tech)."
